Breathing Boxing has truly changed my life. I never thought that Boxing would be something feasibly in the cards for me, but I have gone from having little base knowledge of what the fundamentals of Boxing look like to now actively competing as a competitive boxer. I feel stronger, more confident, and altogether have a better head on my shoulders than I ever have. I am so incredibly grateful to Coach Rich and to this team.

I’ve been training with Rich for over 8 months, and it’s been a great experience. He is dedicated and expect the same of his team. He pushes me to be the best version of myself ever day. He can be tough at times, but it’s what I need to improve and perform at a higher level. My boxing skills and conditioning have improved significantly since working with him.

He’s also built a diverse environment where teammates push and support one another, it feels like a family. I’m very happy training with him, the program and excited for what future holds.

Coach Rich has played a big part in my boxing career, since the day I met him at the Olympic training center in Colorado Springs in 2022 he that one man that seen the talent, the skills and more in every fighter and wasn’t there to just be your coach but there to be a Father Figure, someone you can call and talk too and more. Coach Rich helped me and sum other fighter in that camp each and everyday, droppin knowledge on us everyday not just about boxing but also about Life. Coach Rich was in my corner for my fight against India and we ended up with a bronze medal, we should’ve won that fight but hearing him say that he was still proud of me gave me all the fuel in the world to go win nationals as an Elite. Coach Rich was in another fight of mine when my whole city was against in 2022 of December, I fought another kid that was ranked like me but been on team USA for so many years. Coach looked at me and say “Dedrick let’s not relive that moment kid” and that’s was all I need to hear to go out there and beat that boy. Years later now, Coach Rich his still in my corner as I a professional fighter now, he calls me up and check in on me. He’s another father figure in my life that I love and admire, Coach walked into my life as a regular coach but something bigger than just a coach. He’s my mentor, my comfort, my peace, the person that makes me laugh everyday and a Father in my life as well. Coach Rich is the best thing Gods placed in my life and I’m glad that I have him with my from the Amateurs to the Pro’s now. Thank you Coach for everything

Coach Rich is more than just a coach. He treats his fighters with the utmost respect, and love. He teaches us not only boxing, but life skills as well. He can make something great out of nothing. He’s very patient, no matter the level. He breaks down very complex matters in a way a toddler can even comprehend. He doesn’t treat us like a business; he treats us as family. Nobody stresses fundamentals such as coach. It isn’t just boxing with him. He creates an environment where even non boxers can enjoy being in, even if it’s just observing. I’m more than grateful to train with Coach Rich.

Not every fighter gets access to USA Boxing High Performance methodology. Rich brought that to my training and it changed how I fight.

He designed his program on the USA Boxing High Performance playbook, the methodology that builds national and Olympic-level fighters. That’s not something most club-level athletes ever get access to.

What struck me most was how he works. He doesn’t try to rebuild you from scratch. He builds around your style. He creates drills that reduces the pressure around decision making so when you’re in the ring under pressure, you’re not overwhelmed by thoughts, you’re fluid in form.

His knowledge of the sport is vast. His calmness in the corner is real. And his willingness to meet you where you aren’t technically, mentally, competitively is rare at any level.

He told me once that the result of a fight is temporary. Win or lose, you’re going right back to the gym to work on your game. That reframe takes the weight off and puts the focus back on the incremental improvements every day.
If you’re serious about this sport, there’s nobody I’d send you to faster.
